Software for Hardware Distributors and Wholesalers

M-Tech Logistics is stock and billing software for hardware distributors. A hardware shop carries thousands of small items in many sizes; the software keeps each one as its own product with its own stock, rate and movement history.

What problems does it solve for hardware distributors?

It solves the four problems that cost a hardware distributor the most time and money.

Thousands of small items, each in several sizes

Every product has Brand, Size and Material. Search by any of them, so "1/2 inch" or "brass" finds the item without scrolling a list.

Nails and screws are sold by weight, tools by piece

Each product is stocked in its own unit: Kilogram for nails, Piece for tools, Box for fasteners. Conversions cover box-to-piece sales.

Stock runs out without anyone noticing

Set a minimum level per product. The dashboard and the bell at the top list every item at or below its minimum.

Shopkeepers settle their account once a month

The customer ledger shows every bill and payment in date order with a running balance, and prints as a statement.

How is the software set up for tools, fasteners, paints, plumbing and sanitary fittings?

Your account starts with the units, product details and categories a hardware distributor uses. You can add, rename or hide any of them.

Units you start with

  • Piece
  • Box
  • Kilogram
  • Dozen
  • Foot
  • Meter
  • Set
  • Carton

Details kept on every product

  • Brand
  • Size
  • Material

Product categories

  • Tools
  • Fasteners
  • Paints
  • Plumbing
  • Locks & Fittings
  • Sanitary

Buying in one unit and selling in another needs a conversion rule. How unit conversion works.

What happens when you save one invoice?

A shopkeeper buys 2 boxes of screws, 15 kg of nails and 6 locks. The invoice takes each line in its own unit, and the stock ledger of every item shows the movement with the invoice number.

  • Stock of every product on the invoice goes down, in its own unit.
  • The customer's running ledger (khata) shows the bill and the new balance.
  • Money received goes into the cash or bank account you choose.
  • The cost of the goods sold is recorded, so profit is calculated correctly.
  • Reports and the dashboard show the sale at once.

What does M-Tech Logistics include?

Everything a hardware distributor needs to bill, stock and account, in one wholesale distribution software.

Questions from hardware distributors

Can one product be sold by box and by piece?

Yes. Add a rule such as 1 Box = 100 Piece for that product. Bill in boxes or pieces; stock is counted in the product's own unit.

How do I know which items to reorder?

Give each product a minimum stock. The low-stock list on the dashboard and the Low stock filter on the Current Stock screen show what has fallen to that level.

How do I start?

Send us your business name and type on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form. We create your account with the right units and categories and you try it free.

Is my data separate from other businesses?

Yes. Each business has its own login and sees only its own customers, stock and accounts.

Try it with your own tools

We set up your account as a hardware distributor and you use it free during the trial.
